Inspired by the Masters
All of our original recipes have been perfected over time by the talented chefs here at the Boot. The inspiration for what we call our "hybrid-style" of BBQ came from some of the greatest BBQ meccas of the U.S.A. - Kansas City, St. Louis, Memphis, and Texas. We combined our favorite things about all of their amazing styles and created a taste that is simply irresistible!
This Is How We Do It...
We won't give away all of the secrets from our BBQ restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks, but we can give you an idea of how we get it all started. First, our meats are slow-smoked over hickory, allowing the incredible flavors of each type of meat to come through boldly. (You'll be able to smell it cooking from the parking lot!)
Next, after the perfect amount of hours for each particular meat, we coat them (or serve them with a side of) our flavorful, house-made BBQ sauce. The end result is a plate full of hickory-smoked BBQ goodness that will have you licking your lips and dreaming about your next visit to Wobbly Boots BBQ!
So Many Choices!
Here at the Boot, we offer those succulent hickory-smoked meats in many different ways. You'll find them as the main ingredient in many of our popular menu items, like the Pulled Pork Nachos, the Texas 2-Step, and even The Big Salad.
If you want the meat on its own (along with a homestyle side dish, of course) then you may choose to order it as a Smoked Meat Plate with either one, two, or three different types of meat or on a bun, sandwich-style. Here is what you will have to choose from.
Pulled Pork
Our pork is slow-smoked over hickory for 16 hours, then hand-pulled and trimmed.
Smoked Sausage
Smoked sausage links sliced and served with our house recipe BBQ sauce.
Turkey Breast
100% white meat turkey breast smoked to perfection.
Pit Ham
Lean, thin-sliced, double-smoked ham.
Beef Brisket
Our juicy beef brisket is slow-smoked for 10 hours and sliced to order for maximum tenderness.
Burnt Ends
Double-rubbed and double-smoked brisket tips in a beer and BBQ sauce. Coleslaw on top makes it even tastier!
Bad to the Bone BBQ
We don't stop at just those meats listed above. The following fantastic dinner plates are served with your choice of one homestyle side dish and a big piece of Texas Toast.
Baby Back Ribs
A slab of tender, meaty ribs coated with our dry rub and slow-smoked, lightly grilled, and basted with our secret recipe sauce before serving.
Classic Pork Spare Ribs
For the true barbeque lover! Juicy pork spare ribs coated with our special dry rub and slow-roasted over hickory logs, then basted with our secret recipe sauce before serving.
Hickory-Smoked Half Chicken
Our classic chicken dinner, spice-rubbed, smoked, and glazed in homemade BBQ sauce.
BBQ Chicken & Ribs Combo
A delicious combination of mouthwatering 'que! Half of a BBQ Chicken and a half-slab of Pork Spare Ribs both glazed with our house-made sauce.
That's the majority of our main BBQ dishes, but we didn't even mention our famous Wobbly Wings or the hickory-smoked bacon that makes it onto many of our menu items!
