Wobbly Boots Roadhouse is preparing for our next Fireside Chat pairing dinner on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. This time, instead of pairing Chef McCowan's delicious culinary creations with whiskey, we're catering to the wine lovers out there. Reserve your seats now for this fireside evening of delicious dishes and phenomenal wines.  



Winter Wineland

Jackson Family Wines
Our featured wines this month come from a family-owned wine company based out of Santa Rosa, California. Their portfolio includes brands from vineyards and wineries in California, Oregon, the Bordeaux region of France, Tuscany, Italy, Australia, Chile, and South Africa. Holding over 30,000 acres in the United States, Jackson Family Wines is the largest owner of coastal vineyards in California and Oregon and they are considered one of the world's largest wine producers.  

It all started in 1974 when Jess Jackson bought an 80-acre orchard in Northern California to plant grapes for winemaking. The business was founded in 1982 and its first vintage of Kendall-Jackson Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay was released in 1983. This particular wine won the first Double Platinum Award in the American Wine Competition! 

From that beginning, they now offer a large variety of amazing wines, have branched out across the world, and have won numerous awards in the process. You already know that Chef McGowan's dishes are irresistible. These wines will make the dining experience even more incredible!

Come Back for the Gala of Trees
Don't forget that on the following day, Wednesday, November 20, 2019, the 11th Annual Gala of Trees will kick-off at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach. Bidding on gorgeously decorated Christmas trees and holiday wreaths will happen by silent auction November 20-23



A special Gala Kick-Off Party will take place on opening night beginning at 5:30 pm. Tickets for this private event are $20 each and available for purchase right now at Wobbly Boots BBQ. Everyone attending will receive one glass of Gala Punch, a delicious buffet, and the chance to win a special Gala Christmas Wreath that will be given away that evening at 8:00 pm. 

On Friday, November 22, you can purchase a half-price appetizer when you bring in 5 non-perishable food items for the local food pantry. (One per person) Then, at the close of the silent auction on Saturday, November 23 at 8:00 pm, we'll be hosting a live auction with even more awesome items up for grabs. It's tons of fun and all for a great cause!

Get Ready for the 11th Annual Gala of Trees at the Lake of the Ozarks

We realize that there are some people out there that prefer to focus on Thanksgiving before decorating for Christmas. The 11th Annual Gala of Trees is a great reason to make an exception! 



This beautiful Lake of the Ozarks annual event gets everyone into the spirit of the season, lets you pick up amazing holiday decor for your home, plus benefits some wonderful local organizations. Wobbly Boots Roadhouse is proud to be the home for this gorgeous celebration!  

4 Days of Holiday Beauty
The 2019 Gala of Trees at the Lake of the Ozarks will take place November 20-23. Wobbly Boots Roadhouse will be completely filled with beautifully decorated trees and wreaths. This holiday decor can be bid on, silent auction-style, throughout the event. We host the Gala of Trees before Thanksgiving so that you can have your winnings in time to "deck the halls" at your place! 



All proceeds from the tree and wreath sales will be given to Candyland and The Idiot's Club to purchase toys for local children. In 2018, we were able to raise a whopping $20,015.86! 

You can come in anytime during the regular hours at our Lake of the Ozarks BBQ restaurant to place your bids. Local businesses and organizations have filled these decorations not only with holiday decor but also additional surprises like wine bottles, coupons, event tickets, gift cards, and more! In addition to the silent auction, we've also got a couple of special evenings planned for you as well. 



Gala Kick-Off Party
You can begin bidding on Wednesday, November 20 when we open at 11:00 am. That evening the restaurant will be closed for a private Gala Kick-Off Party beginning at 5:30 pm and you're invited! 

Tickets for the Gala Kick-Off Party are $20 each. This price includes a buffet, one glass of Gala Punch, and a chance to win a special Gala Christmas Wreath that will be given away that evening at 8:00 pm. 



Cans For Christmas
Toys aren't the only items needed over the holidays. Local food pantries often need help restocking their shelves too. 

For that reason, all day long on Friday, November 22, we'll be collecting donations for the local food pantry in conjunction with the Gala of Trees. When you bring in just 5 non-perishable food items to donate, Wobbly Boots will give you half-off one of our delicious appetizers! (One per person)  



Silent Auction Ends & Live Auction Begins
At 8:00 pm on Saturday, November 23, the silent auction will officially close so that the winners can claim their decorations. That's not your last chance to take home something awesome though!

Immediately after the silent auction closes, we'll begin a live auction for even more terrific stuff that you won't want to miss! You might even be able to get some early holiday shopping out of the way. Better make plans right now to spend that entire Saturday night hanging out with us at Wobbly Boots BBQ!

The night before the Gala of Trees, on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, Wobbly Boots will be hosting another one of our gourmet Fireside Chat Pairing Dinners! This month, instead of pairing Chef McCowan's mouthwatering courses with elite whiskeys, we'll be pairing them with wines! 

This will be the first wine dinner we've hosted and we've got a lot of people that are very excited about it. You might want to reserve your spot early before they're all gone! The dinner is $60 per person and is an evening any foodie and/or wine-lover will not want to miss.

The Best BBQ in Mid-Missouri is Created Daily at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse

For more than a quarter of a decade, we've earned multiple awards and served numerous satisfied customers who all keep coming back for more. What makes our BBQ so darn good? Inspired by the Masters
All of our original recipes have been perfected over time by the talented chefs here at the Boot. The inspiration for what we call our "hybrid-style" of BBQ came from some of the greatest BBQ meccas of the U.S.A. - Kansas City, St. Louis, Memphis, and Texas. We combined our favorite things about all of their amazing styles and created a taste that is simply irresistible! 

This Is How We Do It...
We won't give away all of the secrets from our BBQ restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks, but we can give you an idea of how we get it all started. First, our meats are slow-smoked over hickory, allowing the incredible flavors of each type of meat to come through boldly. (You'll be able to smell it cooking from the parking lot!) 

Next, after the perfect amount of hours for each particular meat, we coat them (or serve them with a side of) our flavorful, house-made BBQ sauce. The end result is a plate full of hickory-smoked BBQ goodness that will have you licking your lips and dreaming about your next visit to Wobbly Boots BBQ!   



So Many Choices!
Here at the Boot, we offer those succulent hickory-smoked meats in many different ways. You'll find them as the main ingredient in many of our popular menu items, like the Pulled Pork Nachos, the Texas 2-Step, and even The Big Salad. 

If you want the meat on its own (along with a homestyle side dish, of course) then you may choose to order it as a Smoked Meat Plate with either one, two, or three different types of meat or on a bun, sandwich-style. Here is what you will have to choose from. 



Pulled Pork
Our pork is slow-smoked over hickory for 16 hours, then hand-pulled and trimmed. 

Smoked Sausage
Smoked sausage links sliced and served with our house recipe BBQ sauce. 

Turkey Breast
100% white meat turkey breast smoked to perfection. 

Pit Ham
Lean, thin-sliced, double-smoked ham. 

Beef Brisket
Our juicy beef brisket is slow-smoked for 10 hours and sliced to order for maximum tenderness. 

Burnt Ends 
Double-rubbed and double-smoked brisket tips in a beer and BBQ sauce. Coleslaw on top makes it even tastier! 



Bad to the Bone BBQ
We don't stop at just those meats listed above. The following fantastic dinner plates are served with your choice of one homestyle side dish and a big piece of Texas Toast. 



Baby Back Ribs
A slab of tender, meaty ribs coated with our dry rub and slow-smoked, lightly grilled, and basted with our secret recipe sauce before serving. 

Classic Pork Spare Ribs
For the true barbeque lover! Juicy pork spare ribs coated with our special dry rub and slow-roasted over hickory logs, then basted with our secret recipe sauce before serving.  

Hickory-Smoked Half Chicken
Our classic chicken dinner, spice-rubbed, smoked, and glazed in homemade BBQ sauce. 

BBQ Chicken & Ribs Combo
A delicious combination of mouthwatering 'que! Half of a BBQ Chicken and a half-slab of Pork Spare Ribs both glazed with our house-made sauce.

Monthly Fireside Chat Dinner Pairings Are Back at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse!

The Best Way To Celebrate National Pulled Pork Day

National Pulled Pork Day lands on Saturday, October 12. Since our BBQ restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks serves hand-pulled pork as one of our specialties, it seemed like a perfect holiday for us to take notice of. We actually feature our hickory-smoked pulled pork in a few different ways here at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach. First a few fun facts to intrigue you, then on to the delicious stuff!  



DID YOU KNOW...

  • Pulled pork is an American dish that originated in the southern United States. 
  • The United States is the world's largest exporter of pork. 
  • Iowa is the top producer of pork in the United States. (That's where we've got another Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Clive, IA, a suburb of Des Moines!) 
  • Pork is the most widely consumed meat in the world! It's followed in popularity by chicken and then beef. (We hickory-smoke all three of those marvelous meats!) 
  • Pork has more protein than chicken and is high in zinc, iron, and B-vitamins. 
  • Studies show that pork of today has become leaner since the 1950s. 


Pulled Pork at The Boot
Wobbly Boots BBQ slow-smokes our pork over hickory for about 16 hours. Once it is at it's most flavorful best, we hand-pull and trim it for your dining pleasure. You can order it alone as your main meal or enjoy it as the main ingredient in many of our other dishes. 

Smoked Meat Plates
These BBQ plates come with your choice of any of our hickory-smoked meats as one jumbo serving, a double-meat combo, or a trio of slow-smoked meats.

Smoked Meats on a Bun
This time you can order your pulled pork (as well as any of our other meats) in a 5-oz or 8-oz serving on a locally-baked Kaiser roll. We serve our BBQ wet (meaning sauced) but feel free to ask for the sauce on the side of you prefer to add your own.

Crusty Cuban
House-pulled pork, pit ham, pickles, house mustard, and Swiss cheese pressed to a crispy perfection.




The Big Salad
Add your choice of a delicious meat topping to a large bowl of mixed greens topped with tomatoes, red onion, cheddar-jack cheese, and Provel cheese. (We also offer The Small Salad for anyone that's a little less hungry.)

Loaded Baker
A huge baked potato stuffed with pork, beef, ham, or turkey and topped with cheddar-jack cheese, crumbled bacon, green onions, and BBQ sauce.

BBQ Pork Nachos
Corn tortilla chips covered with spicy queso cheese sauce, pulled pork, baked beans, cheddar-jack cheese, tomatoes, and onions, served with a side of jalapenos and available as a full or half-order.




Wrangler Wrap
A wheat tortilla stuffed with three of our signature items - pulled pork, baked beans, and creamy coleslaw.

Southern Style Pork
A pulled pork sandwich with a Carolina twist. We top that delicious hickory-smoked meat with our creamy coleslaw!

Beale Street Burger
Our tribute to the South! This burger is topped with pulled pork and creamy coleslaw.
