Try Our Loaded Wobbly Boots Wraps

Our Lake of the Ozarks restaurant serves up the best BBQ in the Midwest, but as we've mentioned before, that's not all we are amazing at! The wide variety of options available on our daily menu is sure to please everyone in your group.

Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach features hearty salads, Southern comfort food, black Angus burgers, steaks, seafood, and more. While not considered BBQ, many of these still get that awesome hickory-smoked treatment that we are famous for.

Lots of customers have fallen in love with our delicious wraps. A wrap is essentially a sandwich that is served wrapped up in a flatbread rather than between two pieces of bread. Our flatbread of choice here at Wobbly Boots BBQ is a wheat tortilla. If you haven't had the pleasure of trying one out yet, take a look at the yummy goodness that we pack into them.

The original Wobbly Boots wrap! Lightly grilled turkey breast is served in a warm wheat tortilla and joined by bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar-jack cheese, and ranch dressing.

Turkey Avocado Wrap

Hickory smoked 100% breast of turkey is served in a wheat tortilla with avocado, avocado mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheddar-jack cheese.

Wrangler Wrap

A wheat tortilla is stuffed with 3 of our signature items: pulled pork, BBQ baked beans, and creamy cole slaw. Oh yeah!

Smoked Salmon Wrap

Delicate, house-smoked salmon is paired with lemon-caper cream cheese and served in a wheat tortilla with lettuce, tomato, and red onion.

Try it With a Cup of Soup

Every one of those incredible wraps is served alongside one of our delicious side dishes. You can also choose to upgrade to one of our signature sides, including a cup of one of our amazing soups.

Baked Potato Soup

We serve this one seven days a week because our customers just can't seem to get enough of it! A rich and creamy soup full of chunks of potatoes and garnished with cheddar-jack cheese, crumbled bacon, and green onions.

Soup of the Day

We've always got a second soup choice available in case you want to try something new, but it changes daily so make sure to ask your server about it when you sit down. A few varieties that we have featured in the past are: Vegetable Beef, Seafood Chowder, Beer Cheese & Sausage, and good old-fashioned Chili.

Try Something New

We cook up the best BBQ at the Lake of the Ozarks seven days a week, but every once in a while it's good to step out of your comfort zone and try something new. If you've been looking for a new flavor for your taste buds to give a try, consider ordering one of our Wobbly Boots Roadhouse Wraps and a cup of soup. You'll be glad you did!

15 Fun Facts About the Olympic Games

Baseball season is still going strong, and of course we're all looking forward to football season, but right now all of the excitement seems to be surrounding the 2016 Summer Olympics. Every day you can watch all of the games right here at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse. During the slower moments, we've found a few Olympics fun facts for you to impress your friends with. Check them out!

1. The Olympic torch relay for this year's games began on April 21, 2016 and did not end until the opening ceremony on August 5. That's quite a long jog!

2. The symbol of the Olympics- 5 intertwined rings- represents the unity of the 5 continents: the Americas (North & South), Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia.

3. The 5 colors of the rings- blue, yellow, black, green, and red - were used because every nation that participates in the Olympic games has at least one of those colors on its own national flag.

4. The Olympic flag was adopted in 1914, but it was not flown until the 1920 Summer Olympics in Belgium.

5. The Olympics were held every 4 years until 1994. Since then, the decision was made to separate the summer and winter events and alternate those games every 2 years.

6. Before adding winter Olympic events in 1924, men's, women's, and pairs figure skating events were a part of the Summer Olympics in 1908 and 1920.

7. The winter sport of ice Hockey made its Olympic debut in the 1920 summer games too.

8. In the first modern Olympics in 1896, top winners were given silver, not gold, medals. It wasn't until 1904 that the top three winners began receiving gold, silver, and bronze medals.

9. 1912 was the final year that the gold medals were actually made of pure gold. Today they are 93% silver and 6% copper, with just 6 grams of real gold.

10. The arts were included in the 1912 Stockholm Olympic games. Medals were awarded in painting, sculpture, architecture, literature, and music. The works had to be original pieces inspired by sports. Today, artists compete in their own Cultural Olympiad.

11. Golf and Rugby are the "new" games in the 2016 Summer Olympics. They have been present in the past, but were removed for a number of years each.

12. Rio 2016 marks the first time in Olympic history that a city from South America has hosted the games. Rio beat out Chicago, Madrid, and Tokyo for the honor.

13. This year, over 10,000 athletes from 206 countries will compete in over 300 events during the 17 day's of Olympic games.

14. The United States holds the record for being the country that has won the most Olympic medals. (Go Team USA!)

15. So far this year, we are still ahead of the game! At the time this blog was written, Team USA has already earned the most medals at 31; 16 gold, 12 silver, and 12 bronze. By the time this blog is posted, we know there will be a lot more added!

Menu Showdown: Prime Rib Melt VS. The Reuben

We think every menu item that comes out of our Lake of the Ozarks BBQ restaurant kitchen is the best food in town. The kind reviews and social media comments we receive each week tell us that you guys are pretty impressed too.

That being said, we have a tough time picking out which dishes are our favorites because every one of them is special to us in its own way. It's a lot easier for our Wobbly Boots Roadhouse customers to have a non-biased opinion, so we need your help deciding the winner of today's bout.

Gourmet Sandwich Showdown

We've decided to pull the today's competitors from our Gourmet Sandwiches section. These aren't your average sandwiches. They are each piled high with savory meats, incredible toppings, and extra special touches.

Prime Rib Melt

Our mouth-watering smoked Prime Rib Dinner is only available on Friday & Saturday nights, but this amazing sandwich can be ordered for both lunch and dinner, seven days a week.

We start with grilled sourdough bread, which is always a tasty place to begin. Then we pile on the really good stuff! Succulent, house-smoked, shaved prime rib is topped with Swiss cheese. As if those flavors weren't enough to tickle your taste buds, it even comes with a side of our house-made horsey sauce for an extra kick! Loads of flavor packed into one sandwich.

Reubens

This sandwich is an American classic that most restaurants attempt, but we believe we have mastered! One taste and it will make its way to the top of your favorites list.

It contains all of the delicious main ingredients that you would expect between two grilled slices of marbled rye bread: warm sauerkraut, creamy 1000 Island dressing, melted Swiss cheese, and of course, our very own house-smoked corned beef.

That's not all though! We've taken this classic a step further and put our own spin on it. Instead of the corned beef, you can order it with a couple of our other smoked meats: lean turkey breast or sausage.

Have you picked your favorite yet?

Those descriptions are nearly enough to choose your favorite, but visiting our BBQ restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks and ordering up one of these amazing gourmet sandwiches is the best way to really know your vote is the right one.

They each come with your choice of one of our home-style side dishes, so make sure you arrive with a big appetite. We'll see you soon at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse, and we can't wait to hear what you think!
