Labor Day Weekend & Beyond - September Events at the Lake of the Ozarks

For some, Labor Day marks the end of their summer fun. That's not the case for the lake area! Some of the best annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks take place in September. Wobbly Boots Roadhouse is open year-round for the wonderful people in the area, and these fun events make it not only a great place to live, but an awesome place to visit, no matter what the season.

Labor Day Weekend - Sept. 2-5
Always a great holiday weekend to head to the lake! Our "summer" is still in full swing, and there is lots of fun to be had all over the area. Wobbly Boots BBQ will be available all weekend long, both right here at the restaurant and available to go if you want to pack a picnic basket and enjoy one of the many gorgeous outdoor spots in the area.

Our sister restaurants, Dog Days Bar & Grill and Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina are there for you if you'll be traveling by water over the holiday. Just like us, they have amazing food and fantastic drinks, plus incredible live entertainment all weekend long. As with most summer holidays at the lake, there will be plenty of fireworks displays at the Lake of the Ozarks to enjoy too. Be sure to join us for dinner before those start, or stop by for a drink when they're over.

Hot Summer Nights "Vettes For Veterans" - Sept. 9
The Final Hot Summer Nights for 2016 will salute our wonderful veterans. In addition to the monthly fun that this event always features (classic cars, live DJs, street performers, & more) there will be a parade of corvettes carrying local veterans. Get your spot early. The parade will begin around 6:15 pm, but parking spots always go fast for this event.

Lake of the Ozarks Air Show - Sept. 10
The annual air show at the Camdenton Memorial Lake Regional Airport salutes our military with a day full of exciting acts, both in the air and on the ground. Parking at the airport is $10, or you can catch a free shuttle and park at no cost at Camdenton High School. Kids always love the Ping Pong Ball Drop for prizes, and people of all ages enjoy the up-close look at the airplanes, as well as the amazing acts that perform all day long.

Osage Beach Fall Festival - Sept. 10
This family-fun event is full of activities for all ages to enjoy. From 10 am - 5 pm, Osage Beach City Park will feature a petting zoo, large inflatables and bounce houses, fishing and pellet shooting, lots of local displays, and even a Bow Wow Competition for your four-legged friends. There will also be craft booths, food, art, a hayride, and live entertainment.

PWC Ride For Freedom - Sept. 11
In honor of those that risk their lives for us everyday, and especially those that sacrificed their lives on 9/11, a PWC ride has been organized. It is free to participate, but pre-registration is required. The entire community is invited to join this ride from Surdyke's Port 20 to the Truman Dam and back. Plan your outfit too, because there will be prizes for the best patriotic outfit and best decorated PWC.

Wishes For Wonderland - Sept. 14
Wobbly Boots Roadhouse is proud to be involved with this wonderful event at The Topsider from 5-7 pm. Wonderland Camp provides a summer camp experience in the Lake of the Ozarks for campers of all ages with all ability levels. This night will feature many great auction items to bid on while you enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres, live music, and highlights from the camp's year.

Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest - Sept. 15-18
One of the biggest and most exciting weekends at the lake - Bikefest! This time of year is perfect for a scenic ride, and there will be lots of events happening at the over 200 biker-friendly bars and restaurants that are participating.

You'll even have the chance to win a 2015 Harley Davidson Street Bob Breakout Mortorcycle. Wobbly Boots Roadhouse is one of this year's Bikefest Passport Stops. Visit all of the stops to get your passports stamped, and that bike could be yours.

Osage Beach City Wide Rummage Sale - Sept. 17
If you like garage sales, this is a great weekend to scour Osage Beach for a good deal. If your significant other enjoys them a lot more than you do, let them have the car to shop after they drop you off at the Boot to watch sports with us! Then you can all meet up for dinner at the end of the day.

Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge - Sept. 24-25
The Hy-Vee/Target parking lot will host this brand new event to the Lake area. It seeks to encourage firefighter fitness while demonstrating to the public the rigors of the profession. Firemen race against the clock in pairs to complete a series of tasks. There is also a free kids' firefighter challenge for ages 4-12.

Bogeys & Beer Golf Tournament - Sept. 28

This is always one of our favorite events of the year! It's tons of fun, and all to benefit some great causes: Lamb House, Kid's Harbor, Kiwanis Club, L.A.N.I., and the CADV. Registration begins at 10 am, with a shotgun start at 11 am.

Box lunches are provided by Mexicali Blues, and dinner and awards will take place at Dog Days Bar & Grill along with a silent auction following the tournament. You can download a registration flyer here, then drop it off at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse or mail it to 4717 Osage Beach Parkway, Osage Beach, MO 60565.

So you see, Labor Day isn't the end of the summer for us, it's just the beginning of another season of spectacular things to do at the lake. The best BBQ restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks will be here for you both before and after you enjoy each of these events. Wobbly Boots Roadhouse is open all year long, seven days a week, to make sure you are well-fed and energized for all of the action at the Lake.
