The Annual Canine Cannonball is Father's Day Weekend, June 17-19

There are lots of annual family fun events at the Lake of the Ozarks, and the Canine Cannonball at Dog Days Bar & Grill is one of the best. Our sister restaurant brings this exciting event to the lake area every year. All of your family members are welcome, even the four-legged ones. Plus, it's perfect timing for celebrating Father's Day Weekend.

Wobbly Boots Roadhouse is happy to share the details of this awesome weekend with all of our customers. This particular competition will crown the Central Midwest Regional Champion.  For three days, June 17-19, both amateur and professional dogs will compete in four categories: 

• Big Air - a long jump into the pool
• Speed Retrieve - a timed race to retrieve a toy thrown into the water
• Extreme Vertical - a high jump competition
• Iron Dog - the best of the best

A pool is set up next to the lake at Dog Days. Handlers coach their dogs down the platform and into the pool. Sometimes it's hard to tell who is having more fun; the owners, the spectators, or the dogs themselves! 

Dock Dogs sponsors this premier canine aquatics competition. You can find a complete Canine Cannonball schedule on their website, plus learn how your dog can become a competitor. If they love to run, jump, and swim, then they are a perfect fit. Dog Days will open an hour earlier than normal on Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 am.    

Father's Day Weekend at the Boot

When you are finished enjoying the competition, get out of the heat and join us at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse. We'll have the air conditioning running, the ice cold drinks flowing, and the best BBQ at the Lake of the Ozarks coming out of our kitchen, straight to your table. We'll also have your favorite sports playing on our 21 televisions, including our giant projection screen. Missouri's own Royals and Cardinals are both playing on their home fields this weekend.
