National Pig Day is coming up next week on Monday, March 1. The gang at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach has a few very delicious ideas on how to observe this particular holiday. Among our wide variety of mouthwatering hickory-smoked meats, pork is a very popular choice. Here are some of the fantastic ways you'll find this tasty animal at our family restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Appetizers
Our appetizer menu has a couple of irresistible pork items on it. This first dish is even one of our Happy Hour specials 6 days a week!
- BBQ Pork Nachos
This great big plate of tortilla chips is covered with our spicy queso cheese sauce, pulled pork, baked beans, cheddar-jack cheese, tomatoes, and onions all served with a side of jalapenos. Enjoy this tasty treat as a full order or a half-order. - Bacon Wrapped Shrimp
Some might assume the shrimp is the focus of this dish, but their fantastic flavor is elevated by the presence of everyone's favorite pork product - bacon! This order comes with 6 large Gulf shrimp individually wrapped with our hickory-smoked bacon and grilled to perfection. They are great plain but also taste incredible tossed in our chipotle Buffalo sauce.
Smoked Meats
Our hickory-smoked meats can be ordered on a bun in 5-oz or 8-oz portions or you may choose to enjoy them on a plate without the bread instead. If you're in the mood for "the other white meat", we've got it in two ways for you here. Our BBQ is always served wet (aka - sauced) but feel free to ask for it "dry" and add your own preferred amount of our house-recipe BBQ sauce.
