We Bet These Delicious Dishes Top Your Favorite Football Foods List!

The football game of the year is nearly here, and the game-watching experience is always better when you've got food from the best BBQ restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks to munch on. There are two ways to do that. You can get your order to go if you're watching at home, or you can join us at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse to take part in our great big Football Party featuring Happy Hour specials all day long! Either way, here are a few of the delicious dishes you'll want to have nearby.

Wobbly Wings
These are always at the top of everyone's favorite foods list, even when no games are on! Our juicy, jumbo chicken wings are coated with our house dry rub and then slow-roasted in our hickory pit to perfection! They are available in small orders to enjoy on your own, or big platefuls to share with your fellow football fans. (And especially for this weekend, they are a part of our Happy Hour specials when you dine in-house!)

Our wings are amazing served plain, but you can also choose to have them coated in one of our savory sauces for an added boost of flavor!

BBQ - Our house recipe sauce, which is a great addition to anything!
Original - A mustard-based sauce like no other.
Chipotle Buffalo - Our version of traditional Buffalo.
Teriyaki - Sweet meets heat - Delicious!
Trashed - Our smoked wings deep-fried before serving.

Ribbies and Wings
The best of both worlds! This appetizer features 2 of our most popular items on one plate - 4 individual pork spare ribs and 6 Wobbly Wings. If you want to up the ante even more, give our Wobbly Boots Sampler a try. That plate contains 4 Wobbly Wings and 4 spare ribs, PLUS 4 onion rings and 4 bacon-wrapped shrimp! Enough to share, but you don't have to!

BBQ Pork Nachos
Nachos and sports seem to go extremely well together, and the fact that ours are covered in hickory-smoked meat makes them even better! (This delicious dish is also a part of our Happy Hour specials. More on that at the end of the blog.) We take crispy tortilla chips and cover them in spicy queso, then top that with pulled pork, baked beans, cheddar-jack cheese, tomatoes, and onions.

Texas Fries
Some people prefer cheese-covered fries to cheese-covered chips, and this appetizer is especially for them! It's a plateful of curly fries smothered in spicy queso cheese, bacon, green onions, and cheddar-jack cheese, all served with a side of jalapenos.

Black Angus Burgers
We don't just do great BBQ. Our burgers are the best in the Midwest! All of them are made from 100% hand-pattied Black Angus ground chuck, cooked on a flat-top iron, and served on a fresh kaiser bun with lettuce, tomato, and onion. You are welcome to create your own using the many toppings we have available, or you can pick one of these fantastic burger creations.

Hickory Bacon BBQ Cheeseburger - A half-pound burger with our house-recipe BBQ sauce, hickory-smoked bacon, and good ol' American cheese.
El Diablo Burger - topped with ghost pepper cheese, bacon, jalapenos, and our zesty 6-pepper sauce.
Beale Street Burger - topped with pulled pork and creamy cole slaw
Ham, Mushroom, Swiss Burger - topped with pit ham, sauteed mushrooms, and Swiss cheese.
Black & Bleu Burger - made with Cajun seasoning and topped with bleu cheese crumbles.
Patty Melt - topped with sauteed onions and Swiss cheese, served on grilled marbled rye bread.

How Do YOU Watch the Biggest Football Game of the Year? We Have Some Suggestions...

Now that we know who will be playing in Super Bowl LII on Sunday, February 4, 2018 (the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Patriots, in case you missed it) it's time to decide how and where you are going to enjoy the big game. There's going to be an all-day party here at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach, but if you're throwing a party of your own at home, pick up some of the best BBQ at the Lake of the Ozarks to serve to your fellow football fans.

Super Party at the Boot
Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 pm, but since our Sunday Happy Hour lasts all day long, our party starts at 11:00 am when we open the doors. You might want to get here early to make sure you get a good spot, but since we have 21 TVs positioned all around the restaurant plus that giant projection screen, every single seat is actually a great one!

Winter has finally made a strong appearance, making it difficult to want to leave the house at all. El Diablo Burger
A real mouth-burner! Topped with ghost pepper cheese, bacon, jalapenos, and our zesty 6-pepper sauce.

Football playoffs are still going strong, with the Super Bowl not too far away. As amazing as it is to see those games in person if you get the chance, enjoying them from the comfort of our Lake of the Ozarks family restaurant is a great alternative. January is Soup Month & We've Got the Best at the Boot!

January in mid-Missouri is a very cold time of year, so the fact that it has been designated as National Soup Month is a wonderful thing to hear. Just imagine... sitting all warm and cozy inside our Lake of the Ozarks family restaurant enjoying a great big, steaming bowl of savory soup... YUM! In addition to creating the best BBQ you've ever tasted, Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach makes some incredible soups too.

2 Choices Every Day
Each time that you come to our BBQ restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks, you will have 2 savory soups to choose from. These include an always-on-the-menu customer favorite and a daily surprise.

Baked Potato Soup
The recipe for our Baked Potato Soup is so absolutely incredible, this delicious dish simply had to be made available year-round, 7 days a week. It's a rich and creamy soup full of chunks of potatoes and garnished with cheddar-jack cheese, crumbled bacon, and green onions.

Soup of the Day

Take A Look At The Amazing Menu For Our Whiskey Pairing Dinner!

Last year's Whiskey Pairing Dinners at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach were a huge (and delicious) success, so we're bringing it back again for 2018! On Wednesday, January 10 your favorite BBQ restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks will be hosting a 5-course gourmet dinner, and each of those courses will be perfectly paired with a savory whiskey from the Jim Beam family.

The Whiskey

The featured whiskeys for the evening will be from the Jim Beam Family of the best American bourbons available. We'll have someone on hand to guide you through each food and whiskey pairing, so even if you're not an expert, you'll leave this dinner feeling like one!

Jim Beam has been producing the highest quality Kentucky bourbon since 1795. With over 200 years and 7 generations of experience, creating this tasty beverage has become an art form for them. In their own words,

"It can't say 'bourbon' on the label if it's not distilled and aged in the United States. It can't be "Kentucky Straight Bourbon" unless it's distilled and aged in Kentucky for at least 2 years. And it can't say Jim Beam unless it's been made by seven generations of one family."

The 5-Course Dinner
