Tournament Day

Sure, this golf tournament is on a weekday, but you don't have to feel bad about asking your boss for a day off. That's because you'll be doing your part to raise some much-needed funds for a few well-deserving local organizations. Proceeds raised this year will benefit Lamb House, Kid's Harbor, the CADV, and the Dan Hagedorn Memorial Scholarship.

Registration on tournament day begins at 10:00 am with a shotgun start at 11:00 am. Box lunches are being provided by Redhead Lakeside Grill for everyone playing. Throughout the day, you will be competing for cash prizes and 18-hole proxies are up for grabs.

After the tournament, everyone will head over to our sister restaurant, Dog Days Bar & Grill, for the awards ceremony and dinner. There will also be some incredible live auction and silent auction items there for you to bid on.

Wobbly Boots BBQ Voted Home of the Lake of the Ozarks' Best BBQ & More!

Lake Lifestyles Magazine recently revealed the winners of their annual Best of the Lake reader's choice poll. Wobbly Boots Roadhouse is very excited to have received not just one but four of those prestigious dining awards! Here's a closer look at each of the categories we are very thankful to have been voted as the best. 

Best BBQ

We have always said that the Boot has the best BBQ at the Lake of the Ozarks and once again this year, lake area diners agree! Careful attention to detail over the years has helped us to create our award-winning BBQ style. It was inspired by the BBQ meccas of the U.S.A. - Kansas City, St. Louis, Memphis, and Texas. 

From that amazing inspiration, our chefs came up with the perfect recipes to make our hickory-smoked meats the most flavorful food you've ever tasted! They also came up with our very special house-recipe BBQ sauce that enhances the smoked flavors of our meats in the most amazing way. 

Best Ribs

One of the many classic BBQ dishes you'll find on the menu at Wobbly Boots BBQ is ribs. First, we coat ours with an extra-special dry rub made right here at the Boot. Next, they are slow-smoked over hickory until they are the perfect degree of tender and juicy. Lastly, you have to decide which rib dish you're going to order during that visit!

Baby Back Ribs
A slab of tender, meaty ribs coated in our dry rub, slow-smoked, lightly grilled, and then basted with our secret recipe sauce before serving. This dinner comes with a big piece of Texas toast plus one of our homestyle side dishes and is available with either a full slab or a half slab of ribs.

Classic Pork Spare Ribs
For the true BBQ lover! Juicy pork spare ribs coated with our special dry rub and slow-roasted over hickory logs. These ribs are basted with our secret recipe sauce before serving up with a piece of Texas toast and one of our irresistible side dishes. Available with either a full slab or a half slab of ribs.  

BBQ Chicken & Ribs Combo
A delicious combination of mouthwatering 'que! This dinner comes with Texas toast and a side dish but the stars of the plate area half a BBQ chicken and a half slab of pork spare ribs both glazed with our house-recipe sauce.

Best Wings

Our Wobbly Wings have been the talk of the town since they debuted on the menu many years ago! Jumbo chicken wings are coated in our house dry rub and then slow-roasted in our hickory pit for optimal flavor. 

These chicken wings taste incredible straight out of the smoker with no sauce at all but when you're in the mood for sauce on your wings, we've got 5 different ways for you to enjoy them. 

• BBQ - Our house recipe sauce. A great addition to anything. 
• Original - A mustard-based sauce like no other. Try it and you'll be hooked!
• Chipotle Buffalo - Our version of a traditional Buffalo sauce. 
• Teriyaki - Sweet and delicious!
• Trashed - Our smoked wings deep-fried before serving.

Best Nachos

Another incredible appetizer that has won the hearts of lake area diners is our impressive plate full of BBQ Pork Nachos. We start with crispy tortilla chips, as you'd expect, but from there we get deliciously creative. 

Those chips are covered with spicy queso cheese sauce, baked beans, cheddar jack cheese, tomatoes, onions, and a heaping helping of our hickory-smoked pulled pork. Each plate is served with a side of jalapenos. 

Our BBQ nachos are a lot to handle on your own so we do offer them as a half-order too. If you join us during Happy Hour any Monday-Friday from 3-6 pm and all day on Sundays, you can enjoy a full order of our nachos for $2 off! Burgers at the Boot
All of the beef used for burgers at Wobbly Boots BBQ is raised in the Midwest (Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska) from Valley Meats. They only use domestic corn and grain-fed beef select or higher. The result is a special blend of certified black Angus chuck, brisket, and short rib. 

Here at the Boot, we hand-patty all of our burgers and cook them on a flat-top iron to perfection. They are then placed on a fresh kaiser bun with lettuce, tomato, and onion and served to you with one of our homestyle side dishes.

Even though Dog Days Bar & Grill is still closed for the season this time of year, they're opening up for another very special winter concert in February. The Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl is happening on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, and the Dog's getting that party started early with some of the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks on Friday, February 7! 

Taking the stage this time around is a lake area favorite, Machine Gun Symphony! This face-melting 80s metal tribute band will have you thinking you traveled back in time. Exploding on stage amid a flurry of hairspray and screeching guitars, these talented musicians bring back an era where excess is a way of life and the music rocks! 

Before they take the stage, special guests The Grasshopper Unit will get the show started. This band's incredible tribute to the Beastie Boys is bound to make them one of your new favorite performers!

Our featured wines this month come from a family-owned wine company based out of Santa Rosa, California. Their portfolio includes brands from vineyards and wineries in California, Oregon, the Bordeaux region of France, Tuscany, Italy, Australia, Chile, and South Africa. Holding over 30,000 acres in the United States, Jackson Family Wines is the largest owner of coastal vineyards in California and Oregon and they are considered one of the world's largest wine producers.  

It all started in 1974 when Jess Jackson bought an 80-acre orchard in Northern California to plant grapes for winemaking. The business was founded in 1982 and its first vintage of Kendall-Jackson Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay was released in 1983. This particular wine won the first Double Platinum Award in the American Wine Competition! 

From that beginning, they now offer a large variety of amazing wines, have branched out across the world, and have won numerous awards in the process. You already know that Chef McGowan's dishes are irresistible. These wines will make the dining experience even more incredible!

Come Back for the Gala of Trees
Don't forget that on the following day, Wednesday, November 20, 2019, the 11th Annual Gala of Trees will kick-off at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach. Bidding on gorgeously decorated Christmas trees and holiday wreaths will happen by silent auction November 20-23. 

A special Gala Kick-Off Party will take place on opening night beginning at 5:30 pm. Tickets for this private event are $20 each and available for purchase right now at Wobbly Boots BBQ. Everyone attending will receive one glass of Gala Punch, a delicious buffet, and the chance to win a special Gala Christmas Wreath that will be given away that evening at 8:00 pm. 

On Friday, November 22, you can purchase a half-price appetizer when you bring in 5 non-perishable food items for the local food pantry. (One per person) Then, at the close of the silent auction on Saturday, November 23 at 8:00 pm, we'll be hosting a live auction with even more awesome items up for grabs. It's tons of fun and all for a great cause!   

Make plans now to join us a lot next week for both our gourmet Fireside Chat Wine Pairing Dinner and one of the best annual holiday events at the Lake of the Ozarks, the Gala of Trees.
