Why the Boot Should Win
We are, of course, partial to our own tender, mouthwatering, hickory-smoked Wobbly Wings, but we know for a fact that they're popular with others in town too. Our Lake of the Ozarks family restaurant was already honored this year with the Lake Lifestyles "Best of the Lake 2017" award for "Best Chicken Wings." (Plus "Best Ribs,"Friendliest Restaurant," & "Best Server - Jessica Simpson!" Thank you all again for voting us into those positions!)

Not only do we prepare the chicken wings that we proudly serve 7 days a week with love, care, and the savory smoke of hickory, but we also offer them up to you in 6 delicious ways. First, we coat these jumbo chicken wings in our special house dry rub, then slow-roast them in our hickory pit until they reach the perfect degree of fall-off-the-bone goodness. Then you can choose to eat them:

  • PLAIN - Well, these are served without sauce, but they're far from "plain!" This is for those people that don't want that hickory-smoked taste covered by any other flavors.
  • BBQ - Our house recipe sauce. A great addition to anything!
  • Original - A mustard based sauce like no other. Try it, you'll be hooked.
  • Chipotle Buffalo - Our version of traditional Buffalo-style.
  • Teriyaki - Sweet meets heat. Delicious!
  • Trashed - Our smoked wings deep fried before serving.
Our incredible Wobbly Wings come in orders of 5, 10, 20, or even 30, and they're tasty enough to make a meal out of on their own. They really do pair nicely with many of our other delicious dishes. For example, you may want to try one of these:

Ribbies & Wings
Two of our most popular items: 4 individual pork spare ribs & 6 Wobbly Wings.

The Wobbly Boots Sampler
Some of the best of what we have to offer! 4 Wobbly Wings, 4 Onion Rings, 4 Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, and 4 Spare Ribs. A mountain of food suitable for a big meal or sharing!

Your Vote Counts!
You are welcome to come into our Lake of the Ozarks BBQ restaurant any day of the week and order up a plateful of our savory chicken wings, but we really do hope you have the chance to join us on October 19 for the Lake of the Ozarks WingFest. You get a great night full of awesome food, Lake Area Charities get some much needed funding, and hopefully Wobbly Boots Roadhouse gets your vote for the Best Wings once again! Every vote counts, plus it's a great excuse to have some fun on a Thursday night. See you there! (And bring your appetite!)

Seafood at a BBQ Joint? OH YEAH!

The month of October is designated as National Seafood Month. Our hickory-smoking Lake of the Ozarks BBQ restaurant may not be the first place that comes to mind when you're craving seafood, but maybe it should be! In addition to the incredible BBQ dishes we're famous for, we also offer some amazing seafood menu items at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse

We begin with tasty seafood favorites like shrimp, crab, salmon, and catfish, and then our talented kitchen staff adds our very own Wobbly Boots BBQ twist to make these dishes irresistible. A few of them even spend some time in our smoker getting that awesome hickory flavor that makes our other meats so good.

Why Eat Seafood?
Well, there are a couple of reasons. First of all, the obvious one is that it tastes delicious. The other reason is that seafood is actually full of all kinds of healthy benefits for your body. It's proof that healthy foods can taste good!

You should strive to eat seafood at least twice a week. Selenium is present in many seafood items, which is a mineral that can boost your immune system, sharpen your mind, and is an essential nutrient that has been proven to help in the fight against cancer. You will also get a good dose of Omega-3 fatty acids, which are considered "good fats." These can help to protect your body from heart disease and aid with brain development. There are also many additional vitamins and antioxidants in these tasty food items that add a wonderful variety of health boosts you will benefit from.

Seafood at the Boot
Now that you know a little bit about how great seafood is for a healthy body, it's time to come on in to our Lake of the Ozarks family restaurant and discover how incredible our versions of it taste! Order up one of these delicious dishes with an incredible Wobbly Boots homestyle side dish and you're in for quite a treat.

Vodka Varieties at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse

Every year, the date of October 4 is set aside as National Vodka Day. Wobbly Boots Roadhouse has an extensive selection of vodkas behind the best bar at the Lake of the Ozarks that taste amazing with hickory-smoked BBQ.

Vodka Lesson
Vodka originates from the Slavic word "voda," which means water, but this spirit has a much more intensive kick than a glass of water! Plain vodka is generally odorless and colorless though, which gives it a slight similarity to water, but that's about all they have in common.

Vodka is traditionally made by the distillation of cereal grains or potatoes that have been fermented. Modern-day vodka makers tend to use other substances too, such as fruits or sugar. Many today come in a wide array of infused flavors, giving them a little life of their own which isn't dependent on a mixer.

Vodkas at the Boot
One of the reasons that we've got the best bar at the Lake of the Ozarks is because it is fully stocked with a wide variety of each type of liquor. Some of them are even gluten-free! In addition to the regular well vodka we keep on hand, we've recently started stocking a gluten-free well vodka too. Here are the other amazing options you have when it comes to vodka at the Boot:

  • Absolut
    • Absolut Mandarin
    • Absolut Citron
    • Absolut Peppar
  • Pinnacle
    • Grape
    • Cherry
    • Blueberry
    • Raspberry
    • Vanilla
    • Whipped
  • Tito's (gluten-free)
  • Grey Goose
    • Grey Goose Cherry Noir
  • Ketel One
  • Jeremiah Weed

Popular Vodka Cocktails
Some flavored varieties are delicious simply on the rocks, and there are many people that love the original "flavor" on its own too. Vodka is also an ingredient in many popular cocktails, like these:
  • Mules-  A Moscow Mule is the drink you see people ordering that comes in that fancy copper mug. It usually consists of vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice, but we love them so much at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse we've come up with a few additional versions of our own definitely worth trying.
  • Martinis - How do you like yours, shaken or stirred? A classic vodka martini is simply vodka and a dash of vermouth, chilled and garnished with an olive or lemon twist. There are all kinds of delicious martinis featuring many of the flavored vodkas that we carry that you can expand your martini repertoire with.
  • Bloody Mary - This vodka cocktail makes a wonderful brunch drink and is sometimes considered a great hangover cure. A tomato-based mixer full of tasty spices is mixed with vodka to create this clever cocktail. Try it with Absolut Peppar for an extra flavorful kick!
  • Russians - Vodka is often associated with the country of Russia, so we had to include the drink named after it. You can have it these three different ways: a Black Russian consists of vodka and Kahlua; a White Russian is the same thing with the addition of cream; and finally a Colorado Bulldog uses the White Russian recipe but adds a splash of Coke.

How do you like your vodka?
If you're a vodka fan, no matter what you mix it with (or don't) we highly suggest trying it alongside the best BBQ at the Lake of the Ozarks! We've got lots of savory dishes to enjoy it with for National Vodka Day (and beyond,) and it's a great drink to enjoy while you're watching the game if you're not in a beer mood. Check out the extensive cocktail menu we've got at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse the next time you come in.
