Give the Gift of The Boot!

We recently told you all about Holiday Catering From Wobbly Boots Roadhouse, including how you can host a party right here at our Lake of the Ozarks BBQ restaurant in our private room. Today, we'd like to offer a few great gift ideas that allow you wrap up a bit of the Boot to give to your family and friends this holiday season. (Who wouldn't love to open that!?!)

Wobbly Boots Gear
Let everyone on your list show off their BBQ love with some of the awesome gear waiting here for you. We've got hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and some of the coolest cowboy boot beer koozies you've ever seen. (Make sure to get 2 so you have a full pair!) The shelves are stocked for the season and ready for you to shop, but better get here soon while we've still got plenty of sizes available. These items make great gifts and stocking stuffers.

Dinner On You
Instead of a physical gift, give the present of an experience instead. Invite the gang to join you at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse for lunch, dinner, or possibly Happy Hour. (Happy Hour happens all day on Sundays, and so does football... what a wonderful coincidence!) We're open 7 days a week at 11 am, so just about any time is perfect for us to entertain your group.

If your friends are big sports fans, have them join you during a game. We've got 21 TVs conveniently placed throughout the restaurant, including the giant projection screen on the stage, so there's not a bad seat in the house! That also means that you can catch all the games at once. A sports fanatics dream! If you're a part of a group that prefers to dance the night away, you can all catch some of the best live entertainment at the Lake of the Ozarks on our stage each weekend.

Gift Cards
Last, but certainly not least, possibly the best gift of all - Wobbly Boots BBQ gift cards! Some people think that settling for a gift card is an easy way out, but on the contrary, it's a wonderful present that allows the recipient to pick exactly what they want, and in this case, gives them a fantastic night out sometime in the future.

They can use it for mouthwatering, hickory-smoked BBQ, refreshing drinks from the bar, some good-looking Wobbly Boots clothing, or a combination of all of the above. As a matter of fact, if you know they'll be here next spring or summer, we can even hook you up with gift cards to use at our sister waterfront restaurants, Dog Days Bar & Grill and Shorty Pants Lounge and Marina.

Shopping Made Simple
Wanna know the best part about shopping for holiday gifts at our Lake of the Ozarks family restaurant? You get it all done in one place while you sit back and watch sports, enjoying your own taste of hickory-smoked goodness. Bet you never knew gift giving could be so easy, or so delicious!

Why We Crave Hot, Delicious Food On A Cold Day

As the temperatures get colder and it gets dark earlier and earlier, you may begin craving hot, delicious foods from our BBQ restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks even more than usual. Sure, once you get a whiff of that hickory-smoked goodness in warm weather, you're immediately hungry, but cold days seem to make a body crave it even more. Ever wonder why that is? Wobbly Boots Roadhouse did a little research, and this is what we found out.

It's Instinct
Long ago only the fittest people survived. As the days got shorter and colder, people would begin increasing their calorie intake to "bulk up" for the long winter months. Somehow that instinct was left behind in people today, and it still tends to overpower the triggers that tell a body that it's full.

It's the Time of Year
Cold weather makes you S.A.D. - seriously! Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that is directly related to the changing of the seasons. This can make a person feel moody and irritable, and comfort foods seem to lift the spirits. Studies prove that eating high-calorie, high-fat foods cause the brain to produce feelings of happiness, counteracting the SAD.

You're More Active
Even when you think you're sitting still, when the temperature gets colder, your body is moving without you realizing it. It naturally exerts extra energy to warm itself up, even in slightly cooler temperatures. The harder it works, the more calories you burn, and the hungrier you feel.

All Those Holidays

Last, but certainly not least, it's the time of year when all kinds of holiday celebrations are happening, most of which involve eating. Beginning with Thanksgiving and going through Christmas, Hanukkah, SuperBowl Sunday, and even Valentine's Day, you are constantly faced with delicious foods that are simply too hard to resist. Of course, no one would blame you. They'll actually be standing right next to you enjoying themselves too!

Hot, Comforting Foods at the Boot
Our Lake of the Ozark family restaurant has the best meals to satisfy all of your food cravings on a cold fall or winter's day. Here is a little peek at some of the delicious dishes from our kitchen that will keep your stomach full and happy.

Hot Soup For The Soul
Soup always seems to the do the trick deliciously! We offer 2 soup choices daily. The first is our incredible Baked Potato Soup. It's rich, creamy, and full of chunks of potatoes garnished with cheddar-jack cheese, crumbled bacon, and green onions. We also offer a Soup of the Day, which changes often, so ask your server when you come in. If you like, you can even combine a bowl of soup with a crisp salad or a savory sandwich.

Smoked Meatloaf
Kind of like Mom used to make, but even better! We use juicy ground beef seasoned with veggies and spices, slow-roast it in our hickory-smoker, then serve it open-faced with smashed potatoes, beef gravy, and green beans.

Chicken Fried Chicken or Country Fried Pork
You can enjoy the mouthwatering taste of our hand-breaded chicken breast or famous hand-breaded pork tenderloin fried to a perfect golden brown and served with smashed potatoes, country-style cream gravy, and green beans.

Smothered Brisket
We take our succulent beef brisket and smother it with sauteed mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers, then top the entire thing with melted Swiss cheese.

Mac & Cheese
This creamy delicious homestyle side dish is the perfect comfort food to pair with any of our satisfying meals. You can even upgrade and ask for an entire bowl of this cheesy goodness.

As the weather slowly gets colder and the days keep getting shorter, head on into Wobbly Boots Roadhouse for the amazing foods listed above (and so many more) to take care of those cold-weather cravings. We've got a wide variety of foods to choose from at our Lake of the Ozarks BBQ restaurant to keep you warm and happy all season long!

Thanksgiving Turkeys & Holiday Catering From Wobbly Boots Roadhouse

The holidays are quickly approaching. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve are all celebrations where family and friends gather to enjoy time together. You'll need delicious food for those gatherings, and the best catering at the Lake of the Ozarks can take care of that for you! No matter how large or how small your celebration is, Wobbly Boots Roadhouse has you covered.

Thanksgiving Turkeys
Turkeys aren't the easiest bird to cook, so why bother? Sure, everyone expects a great big, juicy turkey with all the fixings, but you don't have to slave away for days in the kitchen preparing it for them. Let us handle the tough stuff!

We specialize in producing the best hickory-smoked meats at the Lake of the Ozarks, and turkey happens to be one of those incredible meats that we know how to prepare perfectly. Bring us your turkeys for Thanksgiving, and we'll rub them with our extra-special dry rub, slow-smoke them for $2 per pound, and then hand them back to you ready to serve!

If you would like for us to prepare your Thanksgiving turkey, you'll need to call the restaurant at 573-348-2277 to make arrangements. When you drop it off, we'll let you know when it will be ready for pick up. If you need a few savory side dishes to go along with that delicious bird, let us know that too. We've got some amazing side dishes!

Party at the Boot
Do you have a bunch of people to host after Thanksgiving and you're not quite sure where you're going to entertain all of them? Bring them to Wobbly Boots Roadhouse! We have a private party room that can be closed off from the rest of the restaurant. Your party can order off of the menu, or you can arrange for a customized menu to serve them. We'll have everything ready when you get here, serve it, and then clean it all up when you're done! All you need to do is reserve the date, choose a menu option, and enjoy the party along with your guests!

Our private event room has a charming fireplace, a comfortable down-home atmosphere, access to the outdoor patio, and even a few televisions in case someone wants to watch the game. If this sounds like a great way to celebrate the holidays with your friends and family, give us a call and get your date on our calendar.

We Deliver
If you already have the venue and just need the food, that works for us too! We've got an awesome Wobbly Boots BBQ delivery van to bring all of the catering to you, plus the power of the Barrett Restaurant Group behind us. It's made up of Wobbly Boots Roadhouse, Dog Days Bar & Grill, and Shorty Pants Lounge, and the combined efforts of the creative chefs from each restaurant allow for a diverse menu to serve to your holiday guests.

When you call our Lake of the Ozarks BBQ restaurant, we will work with you to create the perfect menu for your party. All of our events are booked on a first-come, first-served basis, so the sooner you get your party on our calendar, the better. Once confirmed by our sales office, we will need a final guest count one week before the event. Then you can just sit back and wait for our cool delivery van to show up at your doorstep!

Give your guests the luxury of delicious, homestyle cooking without having to go through the stress of making it yourself. Let our Lake of the Ozarks family restaurant take care of the food for you! You deserve a relaxing and stress-free holiday season as much as anyone else, so let Wobbly Boots Roadhouse help you get that by letting us take care of all of your catering needs.

Join Us For This Year's Gala of Trees - November 14-18

Wobbly Boots Roadhouse has a welcoming down-home atmosphere all year long, but this time of year we get an early boost of holiday cheer! It's time for one of the most beautiful annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks - The 2017 Gala of Trees. You can view all of the gorgeously decorated wreaths and Christmas trees inside the restaurant between November 14-18, enjoy some fun events surrounding the gala, and possibly even take some lovely decorations home with you.

Gorgeous Decorations for a Great Cause
The Annual Gala of Trees is an event where local businesses and individuals volunteer to decorate a tree or wreath for the holidays to be entered into our silent auction. Everyone in the lake area is welcome to come in anytime during our regular Lake of the Ozarks BBQ restaurant business hours and place their bid, and at the end of the event, if you're the highest bidder, that decoration is all yours to take home!

Proceeds raised from the Gala of Trees are given to Candyland and The Idiot's Club to purchase toys for local children that might not otherwise have a happy Christmas. The more you bid, the better chances you have to win, and the more children can be given a happy holiday.

Gala Kick-off Party
Tuesday, Nov. 14
We'll be hosting a Gala of Trees Kick-off Party to get this awesome event started. Tickets are $20 each. Beginning at 5:30 pm, everyone that joins us for the party will get a first look at all of this year's gorgeous creations. You'll find everything from traditional holiday decorations to trees covered in gift certificates for services, merchandise, and exciting experiences.

Tickets for the evening also include a buffet, one glass of Gala Punch, and the chance to win the Gala Christmas Wreath being given away at 9 pm. You can pick up your tickets any time from now until then at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse.

Ugly Sweater Contest
Friday, Nov. 17
Get ready to get ugly! On Friday night during the Gala of Trees, we'll be hosting an Ugly Sweater Contest. You'll get a chance to wear that "ugly" holiday sweater you only pull out once a year, plus get a good chuckle at everyone else's fashion choice. Check up on your bids to see if you need to up the ante to win your favorite tree or wreath, plus enjoy some fun giveaways and prizes we'll have throughout the night.

Take Home Some Holiday Cheer
Saturday, Nov. 18
The last bids for the silent auction will be taken by 9 pm on Saturday night, but that doesn't mean this year's gala is over! There will be a live auction for even more fun stuff taking place once the silent auction ends. Come in to Wobbly Boots BBQ for some dinner and to keep an eye your bid so nobody outdoes you at the last minute, then stick around for a few evening cocktails and the live auction. It's all for a good cause, and it's going to be a great time.

Mark your calendars now and plan to join us for the 2017 Gala of Trees event inside our Lake of the Ozarks BBQ Restaurant. It's always a gorgeous and fun event that Wobbly Boots Roadhouse is proud to be a part of, and it benefits many local families. The Lake Stock Fall Crawl is happening this Saturday, November 4, 2017, and your favorite BBQ restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is once again one of the exciting stops on the pub crawl route.
