Not only do you get a wide variety of draft beers to choose from at our Lake of the Ozarks BBQ restaurant & bar (we've got 21 different types on tap!) but among those beers are a few Missouri-made favorites. Wobbly Boots Roadhouse is proud to be able to bring some of the delicious local brews made right here in our great state to you. 

Logboat Brewing Co.
Columbia, MO
They brew beers that they like to drink, meaning there is an excellent chance that you'll like them too! Their brewers are constantly trying to innovate and push themselves to create unique and interesting beers that can be enjoyed with friends and family in a social setting. Right now you'll find their Snapper IPA on tap at the Boot. This is an easy drinking IPA loaded with four varieties of American-grown hops. The fruity flavors of pear and peach play off of resinous, piney notes, and crystal malt complements the bitterness for a well-balanced IPA.

Bur Oak Brewing Company
Columbia, MO
This company shares a deep connection to their craft and their community. They offer well-crafted beers that are meant to bring people together. We have Bur Oak's Boone County Brown on tap. This is a rich, brown ale that is easy to drink and has a remarkably smooth finish. The satisfying flavor has a roasted malt character and notes of chocolate and coffee.

Springfield Brewing Company
Springfield, MO
SBC has been brewing one of a kind, supremely drinkable beers since 1997. They focus on true to tradition English, German, and American style ales and lagers and have brought home many awards for their tasty brews. They aim for a harmonious balance between food and beer. On tap at Wobbly Boots BBQ, you'll find their Greene Ghost IPA. This beer starts off with hops in the nose, then with a nice smack of hops on the kisser, followed by a lingering hoppy wonderfulness! The right blend of malts, mashing profile, fermentation control, and craft keep this IPA in balance.

Boulevard Brewing Co.
Kansas City, MO
Founded in 1989, they have grown to become the largest specialty brewer in the Midwest. Their mission is simply to produce fresh, flavorful beers using the finest ingredients and the best of both old and new brewing techniques. We currently have Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer on tap. This American-style wheat beer is a lively, refreshing ale with a natural citrusy flavor and distinctive cloudy appearance.

O'Fallon Brewery

This brewery is passionate about making great beer, and they work hard to deliver unique flavor and refreshment. They brewed their first keg in 2000, and for the first 2 years of business, they only brewed one style of beer (O'Fallon Gold) and only sold kegs in St. Charles County. Over the next several years, they continued to grow their brands as well as their distribution area, which is great news for all of us here in the lake area! Right now we are carrying their Daze of Summer. It's a summer seasonal that delivers a delicious balance of sweet and tart. This wheat beer is refreshed with pink-lemony essence and falls somewhere between being a Radler and a Shandy.

Missouri Beers On Tap At The Boot

When you are looking for the best bar at the Lake of the Ozarks, we want you to think of us first. One way that we strive to make that happen is through the excellent draft beer options that we have to offer at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse.

Every day, we have a whopping 21 beers on tap. You will always find the old stand-bys, like Bud Light, Miller Lite, Sam Adams, and Blue Moon. The other taps change occasionally with seasonal beers and new brews that we would like to introduce to you. 

Today we are featuring a few Missouri beers that we have on tap right now. If you are a craft beer lover, then you'll want to come in and give these Show-Me-State beers a try. 

Bur Oak Brewing Company - 
Boone Country Brown
Not too far away in Columbia, you can find the Bur Oak Brewing Company. Their brewmasters deliver meticulously executed, yet approachable, stylistic craft beers that are made to bring communities together. We are currently featuring their Boone County Brown.

This American brown ale is a rich brown porter style beer. This mellow beer goes down easily and has a smooth finish. You will taste notes of dark chocolate and roasted coffee over a full bodied caramel backdrop. It pairs wonderfully with beef, roasted pork, BBQ, and chocolate desserts, which are all things that we just happen to serve right here at the Boot!

Urban Chestnut Brewing Company - 
Oktoberfest Lager 

St. Louis is home to this company that categorizes their unique brewing philosophy as "Beer Divergency." It's a new world meets old world brewing approach, combining American beer & European beer styles. They have a long list of beers that they produce regularly, and the one that we have on tap right now is their Oktoberfest Lager - Oachkatzlschwoaf (pronounced "oh-khut-zel-schvoaf.") 

This is brewed every year especially for their Oktoberfest celebration. It is malty, yet well balanced, much like the beer served at Okboterfest in Munich. It's a brilliant amber in color with great clarity, and has a slight sweetness balanced by floral hops. 

Springfield Brewing Company -
Greene Ghost IPA & Paul's Pale Ale
SBC is a staple of the Springfield, MO downtown community. They brew one of a kind, supremely drinkable beers, and the have been doing that since 1997. They have received many awards over the years, including the World Beer Cup gold for their Mayhem Marzen.

Wobbly Boots Roadhouse proudly serves 2 beers from SBC. The first one, Paul's Pale Ale, is brewed year-round and is a tribute to the founder of the company, Paul Meuller. It has a lightly sweet caramel malt body that is balanced by big citrusy American hops. 

Their Greene Ghost IPA is only brewed June-November each year. It's flavor is kept in balance by the right blend of malts, the mashing profile, and fermentation control. In their own words, it "starts off with hops in the nose, then with a nice smack of hops on the kisser, followed by a lingering hoppy wonderfulness!" They suggest enjoying both of these brews with pulled pork nachos, which is one of our specialties!

Boulevard Brewing Company - 
Unfiltered Wheat Beer
From Kansas City, we've got beer from this company that has grown to be the largest specialty brewer in the Midwest. They distribute to 31 United States and Washington DC. Since 1989 the brewery has remained dedicated ot the craft of producing fresh, flavorful beers using traditional ingredients and the best of both old and new world brewing techniques. 

We offer their America-style wheat beer, which is a lively, refreshing ale with a natural citrusy flavor and distinctive cloudy appearance. It's their most popular brew and the best-selling craft beer in the Midwest.

Seasonal Beers on Tap

Most beer drinkers have a favorite brew they stand by, but a true beer lover loves trying out new ones whenever they get the chance. Our Lake of the Ozarks bar and restaurant offers a wide variety of the best beers around, and many of our draft selections change along with the season.

Every time that you visit Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach, there's a good chance that your draft beer selections will change slightly. With 21 beers on tap, we've got plenty of room to add new ones here and there. We've listed a few of our popular seasonal craft brews below. 

Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy

This beer is Leinenkugel's own take on Franz Kugler's original Munich tavern version. This traditional Weiss beer has a refreshing natural lemonade flavor that makes it a perfect choice on a hot summer day. It even won the Silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival in the Fruit Wheat Beer category. Tastes great on it's own, but it's especially good paired with our BBQ chicken.   

Goose Island Summertime Kolsch 

Chicago gives us this perfect summer session ale. It has a sunshine color, grass aroma, bread and lemon flavor, and light body. Brewed in the traditional German fashion, it will cause you to savor every sip as much as you do a hot summer day followed by a cool summer night.   

SBC Day Pack  

Missouri's own Springfield Brewing Company offers this easy-drinking ale that is perfect for a those hot summer days where less is sometimes more. It has a delightful hop aroma that hits the palate with a toasty blend of lightly kilned malts and finishes with a clean dryness that is accented by modest hop bitterness. 

They suggest pairing this ale with any food you would eat in the summer, including a delicious backyard barbecue. Well, it just so happens that we offer food exactly like that! 

Don't be disappointed if the above selections are already gone when you get here. If the keg's been drained, we'll have something equally as delicious ready to take its place. If you need some advice about which delicious BBQ dish pairs the best with your beer choice, our bartenders should be able to help you out. Cheers to the Health Benefits of Beer!

National Beer Day is celebrated every year on April 7 in honor of the first day after Prohibition that people were able to buy, sell, and consume beer legally. We've got the best bar at the Lake of the Ozarks to celebrate this holiday at. With 21 beers on tap plus a large variety of bottled brews, Wobbly Boots Roadhouse has a beer that will appeal to just about everybody.

Enjoyed in moderation, beer actually has quite a few health benefits. If you stick to no more than 1-2 glasses a day, the following facts may be true for you. 

• Beer has a thinning effect on blood which can prevent the formation of clots, and the Vitamin B-6 from it helps to prevent build-up in the arteries, making it good for your cardiovascular health. 
• It can boost your level of "good cholesterol" by 10%-20%, helping to prevent coronary disease. 
• The antioxidant content of beer is equal to that of wine, and beer has more protein and Vitamin B than wine. 
• When compared to regular wine and cocktail drinkers, regular beer drinkers were found to have the lower blood pressure. 
• The silicon present in beer helps to increase bone density and protect your bones against osteoporosis. In one particular study, drinking 1-2 beers a day showed an increase in bone density for 4.5%. Be aware though, that people drinking 3+ brews a day actually lowered their bone density up to 5.2%. 
• Beer, especially the dark varieties, are a good source of soluble fiber. This is great for the digestive system. 
• Also a rich source of magnesium, it can aid in the prevention of kidney stones.
• Beer is both high in potassium and low in sodium. 
• Age slower with beer! It increases the potency and impact of Vitamin E, which happens to be a major antioxidant that maintains healthy skin and slows the aging process.
• In one Spanish study, researchers asked people to exercise until their body temperature reached 104 degrees. They then had some drink a beer and others drink water. The beer drinkers turned out to be slightly more hydrated.

The best bar at the Lake of the Ozarks is right here inside of Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach.  You will find all of your favorite mixed drinks, along with a few new ones to try.  One beverage that seems to be the most popular to drink along with our mouth-watering BBQ is a tall, frosty, draft beer.
