Between the three of us, you can choose from delicious hickory-smoked BBQ, incredible Cajun dishes, savory seafood, fantastic burgers, amazing appetizers, and much, much more! As a matter of fact, you're not limited to what is found on our menus. We are happy to work with you to create a custom menu made up of just about anything, including breakfast items.

Catering For Any Speical Event
Throughout the year there are plenty of reasons to throw a party or host a get-together. No matter what time of year or the size of your gathering, we can take care of you. Whether it's a group of a few friends or a gigantic event for 500 people or more, we can handle it!

The possibilities are only limited to the ways you can come up with to bring people together for some food, drinks, and fun. Wobbly Boots BBQ is the perfect place to call up when you need catering for business meetings too. We can handle every type of meal - dinner, lunch, cocktail hour, break time, breakfast - you name it!

Party Here or We Can Deliver
We have a very nice room inside our Lake of the Ozarks family restaurant that can be reserved for private events. It contains a fireplace, TVs, and the doors can be shut to give you a bit more privacy.

If you already have a venue to host your special event, you can pick up your order to go or, in many cases, we can load up the Wobbly Boots Roadhouse delivery vans and bring everything to you! We'll cook it up, load it up, and get it to your event hot, fresh, and ready to eat.

Reserve Your Date

When You Can't Decide... Try It All!

The menu at our Lake of the Ozarks BBQ restaurant offers an enormous variety of delicious foods to choose from. Lots of choices are great but when it all looks mouthwateringly good, that can make it extremely difficult to narrow your decision down to just one dish.

For those indecisive days, Wobbly Boots Roadhouse has you covered! Some of our menu items have brilliantly combined more than one dish so that instead of having to choose, you can (almost) have it all!

Wobbly Boots Sampler
This mountain of food is an excellent sampling of four of our very best appetizers. You get a great big plate filled with 4 Wobbly Wings, 4 Famous Onion Rings, 4 Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, and 4 Spare Ribs. Either come in very hungry for this one or make plans to share!

Ribbies & Wings
For those of you that think the Wobbly Boots Sampler is a bit too much, this appetizer is about half the size, containing 4 individual Pork Spare Ribs and 6 Wobbly Wings. Be warned though, this sample-size of each of those hickory-smoked delicacies just may whet your appetite and leave you craving more!

BBQ Chicken & Ribs Combo
Here is another delicious combination of irresistible 'que! It starts with half of a BBQ chicken that has been spice rubbed, smoked, and glazed in our homemade BBQ sauce. This is served alongside a half-slab of our Classic Pork Spare Ribs which are coated with our special dry rub before being slow-roasted over hickory logs.

Cowboy Cobb Salad
If you're trying to include more vegetables in your diet but the smell of our savory, hickory-smoked meats is tempting you to skip the salad, this is the answer. Our Cowboy Cobb, also referred to as the "King of Salads," allows you to have your salad and your BBQ too!

A platter of crisp greens generously topped with smoked ham and turkey, crumbled bacon, hard-boiled egg, avocado, tomatoes, red onion, and cheddar jack & Provolone cheese. This one satisfies even the biggest of appetites and it's also available in a half-portion.

Beale Street Burger
Our burgers are hard to resist, but so is our BBQ. This particular dish lets you have both! Our burgers are made from 100% hand-pattied black Angus ground chuck cooked on a flat-top iron. On top of that, we add a generous helping of hickory-smoked pulled pork plus our creamy cole slaw.

BBQ Trio Plate
Even if you come into our Lake of the Ozarks family restaurant determined to order a plate of our award-winning hickory-smoked meats, you're then faced with the decision of which one! Not to worry, because we have a meal for that situation. The BBQ Trio combines your choice of 3 types of meat.

The original trio of pork, brisket, and sausage is very popular, but you are welcome to pick from any one of the following tasty choices.

  • Hand-Pulled Pork
  • Beef Brisket
  • Turkey Breast
  • Pit Ham
  • Smoked Sausage
  • Burnt Ends ($1 more, while they last)
  • Half-Order of Spare Ribs ($5 more)
  • Half-Order Baby Back Ribs ($5 more)

So there you have it. The next time you find yourself unable to decide which fantastic Wobbly Boots BBQ menu item to enjoy during your visit, try one of our incredible combination meals. If you can't decide between those, well, we guess you'll just have to come back often and make your way through them all!

The Surprising Health Benefits of Enjoying a Beer

April 7 is World Health Day and it also happens to be National Beer Day. Coincidence? Possibly, but it made us wonder whether or not enjoying an ice-cold, refreshing beer at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse could be good for you.

As it turns out, there actually are some health benefits to drinking a big, frosty brew when enjoyed responsibly and in moderation. You can get a taste of the best beer at the Lake of the Ozarks with our large selection of beers in bottles and cans plus the 21 brews we have for you on tap too. After a brief explanation of the reason for the two holidays we mentioned above, we'll fill you in on a few fun facts about ways beer can actually be good for you.

National Beer Day
(AND New Beer's Eve!)
For over 13 years, beginning in 1920, Prohibition was enforced. This meant that it was illegal to buy or sell beer and alcohol in the United States. In March of 1933, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Cullen-Harrison Act into law, meaning that U.S. residents could once again legally enjoy a drink.

Even though signed in March, the new law did not go into effect until April 7 of that year, which then became known as National Beer Day. This also started the tradition of celebrating New Beer's Eve the night before, April 6. People were so excited about getting the chance to legally purchase a beer, long lines formed outside breweries and pubs the night before!

World Health Day
This holiday is sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a global health awareness day. April 7 marks the founding of WHO and they use it as an opportunity to draw worldwide attention to the important subject of global health. Topics of both mental and physical health are addressed, covering a variety of subjects. Beer may not be at the top of their list, but the following very interesting facts prove that it does deserve some recognition.

Health Benefits of Beer
Enjoyed in moderation, beer actually has quite a few health benefits. If you stick to no more than 1-2 glasses a day, the following facts may be true for you. (This all depends on your own personal health, and your doctor can answer questions particular to your case.)
  • Beer has a thinning effect on blood which can prevent the formation of clots and the vitamin B-6 form it helps to prevent build-up in the arteries, making it good for your cardiovascular health.
  • It can boost your level of "good cholesterol" by 10%-20%, helping to prevent coronary disease.
  • The antioxidant content of beer is equal to that of wine and when it comes to protein and vitamin B, beer has more of those than you get from wine.
  • When compared to regular wine and cocktail drinkers, regular beer drinkers were found to have lower blood pressure.
  • The silicon present in beer helps to increase bone density and protect your bones against osteoporosis. In one particular study, drinking 1-2 beers a day showed an increase in bone density for 4.5%. Be aware though that people drinking 3+ brews a day actually lowered their bone density up to 5.2%.
  • Beer, especially the darker varieties, is a good source of soluble fiber. This is great for the digestive system.
  • Also a rich source of magnesium, it can aid in the prevention of kidney stones.
  • Beer is both high in potassium and low in sodium.
  • Age slower with beer! It increases the potency and impact of vitamin E, which happens to be a major antioxidant that maintains healthy skin and slows the aging process.
  • In one Spanish study, researchers asked people to exercise until their body temperature reached 104 degrees. They then had some drink a beer and others drink water. The beer drinkers turned out to be slightly more hydrated!

Celebrate All 3 Holidays at the Boot!
We invite you to join us for both New Beer's Eve and National Beer Day. We've got plenty of brews for you to choose from plus, since the latter falls on a Sunday, that means great drink and appetizer specials are in store for you at the best Happy Hour at the Lake of the Ozarks which happens at the Boot all day every Sunday!

Basketball, Baseball, BBQ, & Beer - It's All at the Boot!

The NCAA tournament is well underway and Major League Baseball season begins this week. That means it's an even better time than usual to hang out at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach. In addition to having the most mouthwatering hickory-smoked BBQ in town, we're also the best place to watch sports at the Lake of the Ozarks

All the Games
Even though we aren't typically thought of as a "sports bar," Wobbly Boots BBQ is an excellent place to catch all of your favorite sports. There are 21 TVs placed throughout the restaurant plus a giant projection screen on the stage. That means there's not a bad seat in the house when you want to catch a game. As a matter of fact, you can easily keep an eye on more than one at a time! We also offer a family-friendly, non-smoking atmosphere so you can bring the kids along and create a few new sports fans.

The top 16 college basketball teams are competing this week during the NCAA tournament on Thursday and Friday. Once that's narrowed down, the top 8 teams left will be playing on Saturday and Sunday. (Don't forget, Sunday we have all-day Happy Hour too!)

As we mentioned above, baseball season begins this week. If you're a fan of America's favorite pastime, then you don't want to miss the season openers for your favorite teams. Many of us are partial to the Cardinals and the Royals here in Missouri, but all fans are always welcome!

BBQ & Beer
Those games can go on for quite a while, so you're going to want something delicious to eat and refreshing to drink while you watch. If you're watching the games here with us, then you're in luck because we can take care of both of those things!

First and foremost, our award-winning hickory-smoked meats and house recipe BBQ sauce create the best BBQ at the Lake of the Ozarks. The menu doesn't stop there though because we've got something on it for everyone, even if they don't happen to be BBQ fans. This includes amazing burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, seafood, steaks, and more.

You'll find a fully-stocked bar with an extraordinary selection of whiskeys plus 21 beers on tap. Every Monday-Friday from 3-6 pm our Happy Hour includes incredible drink and appetizer specials. We also make those available on Sundays all day long!

No matter which sport you're into, you can find them all at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse. Plenty of TVs so you don't miss any of the action, incredible drinks to keep you refreshed, amazing fans to cheer alongside, and the best BBQ at the Lake of the Ozarks. Now that's a winning combination!

The Difference Between Baby Back Ribs & Pork Spare Ribs

If your goal is to serve the best BBQ at the Lake of the Ozarks, then ribs are a must-have menu item. So, of course, ribs have a place in the Wobbly Boots Roadhouse lineup of delicious, hickory-smoked meats.

We actually serve two different types of ribs; Baby Back Ribs and Classic Pork Spare Ribs. Pork ribs are classified by many different names. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the differences, today's blog should clear it up for you.

Baby Back Ribs
The name of this delicious dish does not come from the age of the animal, but rather the smaller size of the ribs compared to classic spare ribs. They are also the tenderest and leanest ribs you can order with meat both between and on top of the bones. These are taken from the top of the rib cage between the spine and spare ribs, below the loin muscle.

Baby back ribs are sometimes referred to as back ribs, loin ribs, or Canadian ribs. The latter is due to the fact that Canadian bacon comes from the same loin meat that is connected to these ribs. Generally, baby back ribs have between 10-13 curved bones that are 3-6 inches long.

Here at Wobby Boots BBQ, our Baby Back Ribs Dinner can be ordered as either a full or half-slab of tender, meaty ribs. First, they are coated in our special dry rub. After that, we slow-smoke them, lightly grill them, and baste the ribs with our secret recipe sauce before putting them on a plate next to Texas toast and your favorite side dish.

Wobbly Boots Roadhouse, Lake of the Ozarks, BBQ

Pork Spare Ribs
Spare ribs are flatter than baby back ribs and tend to have less meat, but since they are also a fattier cut, that often causes them to be one of the most flavorful cuts. They are taken from the belly side of the rib cage, below the section of back ribs and above the breast bone.

Our Classic Pork Spare Ribs Dinner at the Boot is an experience that true BBQ lovers thoroughly enjoy. Available as either a full or half-slab serving, our special dry rub is used to coat the juicy ribs and then they are slow-roasted over hickory logs until they reach the perfect degree of mouthwatering goodness! A big ol' slice of Texas toast and one of our homestyle side dishes complete the dining experience.

Rib Combos
Ordering the best hickory-smoked BBQ ribs at the Lake of the Ozarks as your main course is one way to enjoy them. We also offer them in a few different combination meals so you can get your rib-fix and still try some of our other dishes at the same time. These include:

  • BBQ Chicken & Ribs Combo
A delicious combination of mouthwatering 'que! Half a BBQ chicken and a half-slab of pork spare ribs served with Texas toast and one side dish.
  • Ribbies & Wings
Two of our most popular menu items on the same plate! 4 Wobbly Wings and 4 individual pork spare ribs.
  • The Wobbly Boots Sampler
Some of the best of what we have to offer! 4 Wobbly Wings, 4 Onion Rings, 4 Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, and 4 Spare Ribs.

So which type of rib do you want to try first? If you want to try them both the next time you're at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach, better bring a friend. That way you can share both dinners because if you order all of that for yourself, you're definitely going to need a doggy bag!

You could also simply come in to dine at our Lake of the Ozarks BBQ restaurant more than once to try a different rib at two different meals. Either way you decide to do it, we're willing to bet you'll be back a LOT once you get a taste for our BBQ!

5 Reasons Why Kids LOVE Wobbly Boots Roadhouse

With spring break just around the corner for many of you (and currently happening for a few of you,) you're probably looking for things to do to keep the kids entertained. A trip to Wobbly Boots Roadhouse will get everyone out of the house plus you all get to enjoy an amazing meal that involves no preparation, cooking, or cleaning up on your part! The best BBQ at the Lake of the Ozarks is probably enough incentive for the adults to head our way, but here are a few additional reasons that will get the kiddos excited about coming to the Boot too.
Menu Items They Love
Kids can be picky about what they're willing to eat and many young children have not yet developed a love for BBQ like the grownups. That's not a problem at Wobbly Boots BBQ because our kids' menu is filled with items that children love.

Give them a dab of our house-recipe BBQ sauce for dipping and they may be well on their way to a lifelong love of our hickory-smoked menu items. Until they're completely ready for that, here are the tasty treats we have for kids ages 12 and under.

  • Kids Burger with Fries
  • Kids Chicken Tenders with Fries
  • Grilled Cheese with Fries
  • Mini Corn Dogs with Fries
  • Pork Sandwich with Fries
  • Cheese Quesadilla
  • Mac & Cheese Boat

BBQ is Messy
Kids love being allowed to get a little messy, and dining on BBQ is a great excuse to do just that! For youngsters that are ready to graduate from the kids' menu, or at least give that homemade BBQ sauce a try, they're bound to get it all over their hands, face, and possibly even a few other places.

BBQ isn't the type of food you are careful with, but rather one you eat with reckless abandon and enjoyment! We've got plenty of wet wipes handy so you can clean yourselves up when you finished eating

Our Family-Friendly Atmosphere
Once you set foot in our Lake of the Ozarks BBQ restaurant, you are welcomed as a part of our extended family. There's plenty of seating to accommodate any size group and even a cool "front porch" that the kids really seem to love. The entire restaurant is non-smoking. (In respect to tobacco products, that is. There's a LOT of hickory-smoking going on!)

We've also got 21 TVs placed all around the room plus a giant projection screen. That means if you're a family of sports fans, you can catch the game while you eat. Around here, enthusiastic cheering is encouraged!

We've Got Dessert
If you aren't too stuffed after you eat, we've got some amazing dessert options to satisfy that sweet-tooth. Occasionally our chef comes up with an extra-special treat for us to serve for dessert that's not regularly on the menu. Some of the staples you can expect to find every visit include:
  • Root Beer Float
  • Chocolate Cobbler
  • Rustic Apple Tart
  • Red Velvet Cheesecake
  • Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Pie
  • Ice Cream

Mom & Dad Love It Here
Best of all, our family-friendly restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is one of the few places that both the kids and the adults can all agree on. We've got a wide variety of menu choices to keep everyone happy, no matter what you're in the mood for. That means during the meal, as well as when it's over, everybody is happy!

So when the kids start complaining that they're bored this spring break, pack them in the car and head on over to Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach. Our family is always thrilled to welcome your family to our place!

The Boot Makes National Celery Month Worth Celebrating

Sure, it may seem strange to see a BBQ restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks talking about celery, but bear with us. March happens to be National Celery Month and your friends at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse have actually found a way to make that exciting! Alone, celery leaves the taste buds longing, but we've paired it with two menu items that make it a lot more exciting.

Celery
Alone, celery is pretty boring for the most part but it does contain vitamins and minerals that your body needs. It is also a good source of fiber and a nice crunchy snack if you're trying to eat lighter and healthier. That being said, it's WAY better when you use it for dipping into another food so that there is actually flavor involved. It's also the perfect veggie to bring out the flavor in two popular Wobbly Boots Roadhouse menu items.

Celery + Wobbly Wings
Why in the world do juicy, flavorful, lick-your-lips wings usually come with celery on the plate? Well, there are actually a few great reasons to have the green vegetable there for your culinary enjoyment.

The crunch is a nice contrast to the meatiness of that perfectly hickory-smoked wing. Dipped in ranch or bleu cheese, they are excellent for cooling off your mouth after a spicy bite. Last, but certainly not least, the green of the celery nicely compliments the color of the wings on the plate. Without celery, the wings would be every bit as good, but it is a nice addition to the overall flavor experience.

Celery + Vodka
Most cocktails get a garnish of at least a lemon, a lime, or possibly a cherry. The Bloody Mary has evolved into a drink that some people seem to think should have an entire meal as a garnish! A lime and a single stalk of celery are plenty to give this "hair-of-the-dog" cocktail a little something extra.

Much like with the wings, celery is a nice, cooling palate cleanser if you like your Bloody Marys on the spicy side. It makes a perfect edible stir stick for the drink too and the red and green go together beautifully, making the cocktail both tasty and attractive.

Even though celery is not the star of the show when it comes to the menu items Wobbly Boots BBQ has paired it with, you've gotta admit, if the celery wasn't there you just might miss it. For example, our Wobbly Boots Sampler pictured above looks a little more dressed up with those lovely, tall, green stalks of celery breaking up the brown. As an added bonus, you get to enjoy a giant plate of the best BBQ at the Lake of the Ozarks and/or a refreshing Bloody Mary and still feel good that you got in a serving of veggies while you did it!
