March Madness is almost here, so start thinking about those brackets! Wobbly Boots Roadhouse will have all of the 2016 NCAA tournament games playing for you, right up until this year's title game.
Our BBQ restaurant is the best place to watch sports at the Lake of the Ozarks. With 21 televisions, including our giant projection screen, strategically placed around the room, you can catch all of the March Madness excitement. We will be showing all of the action from Selection Sunday on March 13 through the men's championship game on April 4 & the women's championship game on April 5.
The road to the Final Four begins with Selection Sunday. This is when the NCAA basketball committees reveal this year's tournament field with college basketball's best teams. This year the show has been lengthened to 2 hours, from 4:30-6:30 pm. It will include lots of detailed analysis, discussion, interviews, and even reactions from the teams as the tournament bracket is filled in. A must see for college basketball fans!
The games that make up the March Madness tournament will be broadcast across 4 national television networks: TBS, CBS, TNT, and truTV. The "play-in" games will take place March 15-16, and once all of the teams are set, the tournament gets going on St. Patrick's Day, March 17 at 11:00 am.
The NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament began in 1939 with Oregon beating Ohio State 46-33 for the championship. For the first 12 years, only 8 teams were invited to participate. This size grew until today's 65-team tournament setup was formed in 2001.
The NCAA Division I Women's Basketball tournament didn't begin until 1982. It started with 32 teams and expanded to 64 teams before the 1994 season. Their championship game is always played the day after the men's championship game and ends the college basketball season.
