Another wonderful time to head to the appetizer menu at our BBQ restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is when you're hosting a party. (Lots of those happening around the holidays!) A platter full of Wobbly Wings or Bacon Wrapped Shrimp is sure to please any hungry crowd.
Here's a closer look at the tasty treats from the appetizer section you can enjoy for a between-meal snack, a dinner starter, or to share with a bunch of friends.
Wobbly Boots Appetizers
Wobbly Wings
Juicy jumbo chicken wings coated in our house dry rub and slow-roasted in our hickory pit. They are available plain, "trashed," or with a choice of four sauces:
- Trashed - Our smoked wings deep-fried before serving.
- BBQ - Our house-recipe sauce, a great addition to anything!
- Original - A mustard-based sauce like no other. Try it, you'll be hooked!
- Chipotle Buffalo - Our version of a traditional Buffalo sauce.
- Teriyaki - Sweet and delicious!
Two of our most popular items on one delicious plate! Enjoy 4 individual pork spare ribs with our house recipe BBQ sauce and 6 Wobbly Wings with your choice of sauce.
Chicken Tenders
Fresh chicken tenders are hand-breaded and cooked to a golden brown. They can be served plain or tossed in one of our wing sauces.
Buffalo Chicken Dip
Smoked chicken breast mixed in a Buffalo cream cheese dip, topped with Provel cheese and baked to a golden brown. This dip is served with corn tortilla chips.
Burnt Ends & Sausage
Mouthwatering burnt ends and smoked sausage served with a piece of Texas toast.
Fried Pickles
A half-pound of pickle chips hand-breaded in our special seasoned flour and fried to a golden brown and served with chipotle ranch.
Texas Fries
Seasoned fries smothered in a spicy queso cheese sauce, bacon, green onions, and cheddar-jack cheese served with a side of jalapenos. This can be served as a full order or a half-order.
Our Famous Onion Rings
A heaping stack of thick-cut yellow onions, hand-breaded to order and deep-fried to a golden brown. They are served with chipotle ranch and available as a full order or a half-order.
Crab Stuffed Mushrooms
A beautiful blend of crab meat, cream cheese, cheddar-jack cheese, and special seasoning stuffed in large mushroom caps and topped with Provel cheese, then baked to a golden brown.
Bacon Wrapped Shrimp
6 large Gulf shrimp individually wrapped with our hickory-smoked bacon and grilled to perfection.
BBQ Pork Nachos
Corn tortilla chips covered with spicy queso cheese sauce, pulled pork, baked beans, cheddar-jack cheese, tomatoes, and onions and served with a side of jalapenos. You can get this as a full order or a half-order.
Brisket Quesadilla
Smoked beef brisket, bacon, tomatoes, green onions, and cheddar-jack cheese grilled in a wheat tortilla and served with a side of salsa and sour cream.
The Wobbly Boots Sampler
Last, but certainly not least, this plate if piled high with some of the best of what we have to offer! You get 4 Wobbly Wings, 4 onion rings, 4 bacon wrapped shrimp, and 4 spare ribs slathered in BBQ sauce. A mountain of food!
Even though we're most famous for serving the best BBQ at the Lake of the Ozarks, our chefs know how to make quite a few amazing appetizers too! (Many of which contain some of that hickory-smoked goodness!)
