Kyle Wallace Creates Delicious Desserts of the Week at the Boot!

People usually come to Wobbly Boots Roadhouse in Osage Beach for the sole purpose of dining on the best BBQ at the Lake of the Ozarks. Our plates are extremely hearty and filling, which is awesome unless you were trying to save room for dessert!

We've got quite a few delicious dessert options available daily at Wobbly Boots BBQ, but as an added incentive for you to save room for dessert, we've started featuring a specialty Dessert of the Week too. These sweet treats created by our very own Kyle Wallace taste so amazing, you will either want to take part of your meal home in a doggy bag or possibly even order dessert first to make sure you have enough room for it!

The Talented Kyle Wallace
A while back, Brian Barrett asked Kyle how he felt about possibly incorporating a dessert of the week at the Boot. Many people over the years have raved about Kyle's Bread Pudding, stating it was some of the best they had ever tasted.

The recipe for it had been handed down from his grandmother. That recipe inspired Kyle, and he continued to toy with creating delicious dessert recipes of his own. This made him the ideal person for the job of coming up with specialty desserts for our Lake of the Ozarks family restaurant

Kyle was born and raised in the lake area, and he began working for the Barrett Restaurant Group about 6 years ago. He currently works in the kitchens of both Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina and Wobbly Boots Roadhouse.

In the past, he has made mouthwatering desserts like his grandmother's Bread Pudding, as well as different variations on that tasty treat like his Blueberry Cake Bread Pudding. He has also created amazing desserts that include Carrot Cake, Peanut Butter Pie, and a wide variety of Cheesecakes. There is even a Chocolate Mayonaise Cake, which may sound strange, but is one of the best things you will ever have the joy of tasting!

That Amazing Bread Pudding
That incredible Bread Pudding that Kyle's grandmother shared her recipe for receives multiple compliments each time that it is served. It is made with several eggs, heavy cream, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and baguettes. It is cooked in a 350-degree oven for about 45 minutes and then covered with an icing made from butter, sugar, and a bit of rum.

Save Room For Dessert
Each week at Wobbly Boots Roadhouse we will feature a homemade dessert created by Kyle that is equally as delicious as that Bread Pudding along with our regular dessert menu. Those menus can be found on each table or at the bar and include choices like Hershey's Chocolate Cobbler, Rustic Apple Tart, Root Beer Floats, Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Pie, Red Velvet Cheesecake, and Salted Caramel or Premium Vanilla Ice Cream.

Kyle has some fantastic ideas for desserts he would like to make in the future. Some of these include French Silk Cake and German Chocolate Cheesecake. He has even talked about dabbling with some creative homemade ice creams. He says that he loves a challenge, so there's a possibility that we may open up the chance for our customers to make some special requests in the future. (Start thinking up some sweet ideas now!)

The next time that you are craving something sweet, head on over to the Boot for the best desserts at the Lake of the Ozarks. As amazing as all of Kyle's creations have tasted so far, pretty soon those sweet treats just may be as big of a draw as the best BBQ at the Lake of the Ozarks! Take our word for it, with proper meal planning, you can definitely make room for both!
