Valentine's Day Trivia Challenge!

It's time to gear up for Valentine's Day, so the team at Wobbly Boots  created a one-of-a-kind Valentine's Day trivia challenge (just to have a little fun)! When you come in to Wobbly Boots for dinner on the 14th, you can now show off your vast knowledge of this day of romance and truly impress your date! ;-)

So, how much do you REALLY know about Valentine's Day?
Answers are below each question (no peeking!).

Which state produces the most roses?
A.  Missouri
B.  Texas
C.  Kentucky
D.  California

{D. California. If you guessed Missouri, please DO NOT admit that to your date.}

How much does the average American spend on Valentine's Day?
A.  $50
B.  $75
C.  $100
D.  $25

{B. $75. And hey, you may as well spend it at Wobbly Boots... what's better than prime rib and beer, right?}

What percentage of women send themselves Valentine's Day flowers?
A.  5%
B.  10%
C.  15%
D.  20%

{C. 15%. These are the women you want to meet ... save your bucks for wings and whiskey at the bar!}

The town "Valentine" is located in which state?
A.  Vermont
B.  Nebraska
C.  Tennessee
D.  Missouri

{C. Nebraska. But there is a "Valentine" neighborhood in Kansas City... who knew?}

What percentage of pet owners will give Valentine's Gifts to their pets?
A.  10%
B.  7%
C.  3%
D.  1%

{C. 3%. You get bonus points if you give her PET a Valentine's Day gift, too... just don't make it nicer than the one you purchased for her!}

Approximately how many Valentine's Day cards are sent every year?
A.  1 billion
B.  1.5 billion
C.  1 million
D.  1.5 million

{A. 1 Billion. That's a lot of sappy cards... imagine the money to be saved if we could just get away with a text message and go to dinner! Let's start a movement.}

What percentage of the people who buy flowers are men?
A.  73%
B.  89%
C.  67%
D.  92%

{A. 73%. Since 15% of women purchase flowers for themselves (from the question above) that leaves only 12% of the flowers purchased by women for their guy... isn't this supposed to be a two way street?}

In what year was the first box of chocolates introduced?
A.  1902
B.  1799
C.  1868
D.  1950

{C. 1868. Chocolates in a box are over-rated and cliche. A chocolate flavored cocktail at Wobbly Boots would be a MUCH better selection, in our humble opinion!}
